Tubac is a funky, artsy town located about 2 hours south of Phoenix. We visited for the annual Art Festival, held in November, and discovered an endless (well, for a town of 1100 people) array of art shops, complete with their real, live, on-location artists. After tearing through the tiny town, soaking up as much art as we could, we drove down to the Santa Cruz River. We found many residences with horses located around the river, and stopped to gaze through a fence into the Tubac Cemetery. In true Tubac fashion, it was creatively decorated with rainbow-colored objects.
